PGA Ocean’s 4 opened in late 2017. The course emerged adapting to the existing terrain at the edge of the Caribbean Sea. It’s located on the breathtakingly beautiful Playa Nueva Romana Bay on the southern coast of the country, about 60 miles east of Santo Domingo and 15 miles from the popular town of La Romana. Its location is key, at an equal distance from the capital of the country and the tourist area of ​​Punta Cana.

Playa Grande Golf Course, Amanera Resort, DR

Located on the Dominican’s north coast this was Robert Trent Jones’ final design in 1997. Playa Grande has been called “the Pebble Beach of the Caribbean” because 10 holes of the hilly 7,085-yard, par 72 layout wind along Atlantic-facing cliffs 60 feet high. The scenic views of the ocean, verdant mountains and exquisite beaches are augmented by groves of mature trees and tall stands of palms. The Lakes was completely re-designed by P.B. Dye, who turned this course into one of the best inland courses in the Dominican Republic. Barceló Bavaro Lakes golf course offers a nature experience like no other. Waterways and big lakes come into play on almost every hole, and the nature wildlife is unlike any other. The course is not long, but features narrow fairways, island green and well hidden bunkers.

Links, Casa de Campo Golf Resort, DR

The Links was the second course built by Pete Dye was designed and opened in 1975, then completely redesigned in 2012. This course is located within the resort’s residential community and was completely remodeled and designed in 2011. With its residential and links style setting, the Links course provides a great contrast from both Teeth of the Dog which winds its way along the Ocean and Dye Fore that is set amidst the bluffs and rocky terrain.

Dye Fore, Casa de Campo Golf Resort, DR

Dye Fore at Casa de Campo opened in April 2003. It offers 18 holes running parallel to the Chavon River with a breathtaking view of mountains to the north or the Caribbean Sea to the south. Dye Fore, is a daunting 7,700-yard track carved from an inland bluff, is at its best the farther it travels from the ocean. The course now has 27 total holes with the 3rd nine completed in 2012.

Punta Espada Golf Club, Cap Cana, DR

Punta Espada Golf Club is ranked as the best golf course in the Caribbean and Mexico by GolfWeek. The course is located inside the Cap Cana development, 25 minutes south of PUJ and was designed by Jack Nicklaus in 2005. Eight holes run directly along the Caribbean Sea and spectacular views are had from all eighteen. Punta Espada was designed to incorporate the natural features of the landscape into its topography; the bluffs, the beach, the waterways and the foliage.
